Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Lima

  • Welcome to Peru! Transfer to your hotel in Miraflores. Evening walking tour of the historic center and dinner at local restaurant.

Day 2: Lima to Cusco

  • Morning flight to Cusco. Acclimatization day with gentle city tour - Plaza de Armas, Qorikancha Temple, and San Blas artisan quarter.

Day 3: Sacred Valley

  • Full day tour of Sacred Valley - Pisac market, Ollantaytambo fortress, and Chinchero weaving village.

Day 4: Inca Trail Day 1

  • Begin classic Inca Trail trek. Hike to Wayllabamba camp (3,000m). Distance: 12km, 5-6 hours.

Day 5: Inca Trail Day 2

  • Challenging day crossing Dead Woman's Pass (4,215m). Descend to Pacaymayo camp. Distance: 11km, 6-7 hours.

Day 6: Inca Trail Day 3

  • Trek through cloud forest, visit Runkurakay and Phuyupatamarca ruins. Camp at Wiñay Wayna. Distance: 16km, 7-8 hours.

Day 7: Machu Picchu

  • Pre-dawn hike to Sun Gate for sunrise over Machu Picchu. Guided tour of the citadel. Train to Cusco in evening.

Day 8: Cusco Exploration

  • Visit Sacsayhuaman, Q'enqo, Puka Pukara, and Tambomachay ruins. Evening free for shopping at San Pedro Market.

Day 9: Departure

  • Morning at leisure in Cusco before transfer to airport for your flight to Lima and onward journey.
